Request a song in your ride
If your driver shows a Ryder Radio QR code, you can ask for a song from your own phone. No app, no account and no Bluetooth pairing.
How to request a song
- Open your phone camera and scan the driver's QR code.
- Type a song and artist. If your driver connected Spotify, you can search for the song instead.
- Tap Request. Your request goes straight to the driver's phone.
- Your driver chooses what plays. They can play or skip any request.
Can I play my own music in a rideshare?
It is up to your driver. If your driver uses Ryder Radio, you can request songs from your phone without their Bluetooth or aux cable. The driver decides what plays.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. The QR code opens a page in your phone browser. You never sign in.
Is it safe to scan the QR code?
A Ryder Radio QR code opens a page on ryderradio.com. Ryder Radio never asks riders for payment, a tip, an account or a sign in.
What happens after I send a request?
You can see the requests waiting for your driver. Requests expire after 15 minutes. When your driver starts a new ride, your access ends. Scan the code again on your next ride.
Does it cost anything?
No. Ryder Radio is free for riders and drivers. There are no ads and no tip prompts.
