Let riders pick the music without your Bluetooth
Ryder Radio is a free web app for rideshare drivers. Riders scan your QR code and send song requests from their own phone. Nothing plays until you choose it.
Driver sign inHow to set it up
- On your phone, open ryderradio.com and tap Driver sign in.
- Enter your email, then use the 6 digit code or the sign-in link we send you.
- Get your permanent QR code. Show it on your phone or print it for your car.
- A rider scans the code, types a song and artist, and taps Request.
- The request shows up on your phone. Open it in Spotify when you are safely stopped, or tap Skip.
Why not hand over Bluetooth or the aux cable?
Riders never connect to your car or your phone. They send a request from their own phone, and you keep your phone, your navigation and the final say on what plays.
What do I control?
Every request waits for you. Nothing plays until you choose it, and you can skip any request. Requests you do not act on expire after 15 minutes.
When the next rider gets in, start a new ride. That clears waiting requests and ends the last rider's access. Your QR code stays the same.
What does it cost?
Ryder Radio is free for drivers and riders. There are no ads and no tip prompts.
Do I need Spotify?
No Spotify connection is needed. Riders can type a song and artist, and you choose what plays in your own music app.
Connecting your own Spotify app adds full song search for riders and optional one-tap Play with Spotify Premium.
Does it work with my rideshare platform?
Ryder Radio is an independent app that works alongside whatever platform you drive for. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any rideshare company. Follow your platform's rules.
Is it safe to use while driving?
Keep your eyes on the road. Only handle requests when you are safely stopped, and follow your local laws on phone use.
